Corporate Status
Peace University is incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a nonstock corporation. Our purpose is exclusively educational, academic, and community-driven, designed to offer flexible and accessible global study paths.
State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV)
Peace University has been granted religious exemption status by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). Under Section 23.1-213 of the Code of Virginia, the university is exempt from state certification because our degree and certificate programs are designed solely for religious, theological, educational, and ministerial vocations.
Our curriculum and programs focus on theological education, interfaith studies, global education, and leadership, satisfying SCHEV exemption criteria.
Accreditation Intent
While operating under the SCHEV religious exemption, Peace University is committed to exceeding regional, national, and international standards of academic excellence. We continually refine our curricula, support faculty research, and partner with international entities to ensure our graduates receive premium global education.
We aim for voluntary self-regulatory alignments and future accreditations that respect our specialized interfaith and educational focus.
