English Language Programs

The ELP offers instruction in English as a second or international language and exposure to the cultures of the United States. We also offer testing, consulting services, and cross-cultural training. In addition, we contribute to the ESL profession as a whole by our work as researchers, presenters, and educators. We serve adults whose purpose is to learn English for a variety of social, professional, academic, or personal reasons.

Requirements

All degree-seeking students whose native language is not English, who have not studied in schools with English as a medium of instruction and have not taken one of the above mentioned tests will be required to successfully complete 24 credits of English language before starting the rest of the course work in their respective programs.

All undergraduate degree-seeking students may take a foreign language of their choice for 24 credits (1200 clock hours) towards their degree program
