Non-Degree Programs

Individuals with academic or professional reasons for pursuing graduate-level study without entering a degree program may register as special students. They can engage in coursework or a combination of coursework and research for academic credit.

Academic disciplines, concentrations and majors

Certificate Program

The Certificate program (15 credit hours) provides learners with the opportunity to explore and learn a body of knowledge in one of the University’s concentrations. It allows individuals to channel different sources of knowledge and learn in a specific area.

Certificate programs are stand-alone modules but can be used as a foundation for building a Diploma or Bachelor’s program. Academic advising is required.

Diploma

The Diploma program (30 credit hours) offers learners a chance to gain insight into a specific body of knowledge within one of the University’s concentrations.

The Diploma program helps individuals channel various sources of knowledge and build an in-depth understanding in a certain area.

Diploma programs are stand-alone modules but can serve as a foundation for a Bachelor’s program. Academic advising is required.

Language Programs

  • All degree-seeking students whose native language is not English and who have not studied in schools where English is the medium of instruction must take English language proficiency tests such as TOEFL or IELTS with satisfactory results.
  • Students who haven’t taken these tests must complete 24 credits of English language before starting the rest of their coursework.
  • All undergraduate degree-seeking students may take a foreign language of their choice for 24 credits (1200 clock hours) towards their degree program.

Post Graduate Diploma

The Post Graduate Diploma programs (15 credit hours) aim to help learners excel in a specific subject within a knowledge area. These programs develop mastery and achieve academic excellence in a particular field of study offered by the University.

These programs prepare individuals to meet the highest standards of academic learning and assist in progressing towards a specific professional or career path. Academic advising is required.
